We have recently completed an exciting new project for our client, which involved renovating both their kitchen and laundry space. They wanted an eye-catching island bench design for the kitchen that would stand out, but still fit with the classic black and white colour scheme. In the laundry, the aim was simplicity and elegance, with a steadfast commitment to the black and white colour palette. The added challenge was to create ample storage space without resorting to overhead cabinets.
Our Response
For the kitchen, the moment we learned of the classic black and white colour scheme, it became evident that the island’s cabinetry should be draped in sleek black, ensuring it remained the focal point while remaining within the desired colour palette. In the laundry, the challenge was evident: create ample storage without the use of overhead units. We ingeniously designed the space to incorporate four pull-out hamper clothing baskets, making clothing storage effortless and maximising the utility of the room. Furthermore, we added a special touch by installing farmhouse butlers sinks in both the kitchen and laundry, perfectly aligning with the modern farmhouse aesthetic that the family envisioned for their entire home.
